How can I deposit a money order that had been returned to get my money back?

NN asked:
Ok. So i sent my money order to the USCIS but the amount of money was not enough so i got the rejection notice and my money order back along with everything i sent. There is a red stamp on the back of my money order said “US Bank. For Deposit Only DHS/USCIS/NSC”. What does that mean? Will i be able to deposit that amount into my back account and purchase another money order to send it away?

Most money orders have a number some where printed on them that you can call. As well if you saved the “stub” of the money order before you sent it off, that has a number on it. Call the number and ask them the same thing you asked here.

Most likely. Do you have your receipt from the money order? Whether you do or don’t, just take it back to the same facility you got your money order from. When you go to get your money back don’t be surprised if they charge a small fee—- rip offs!
Good Luck!
