Im in high school and have around 20,000 in accounts and trusts. Still not enough for college, and possibly medical school.

There is no average because all college students have different experiences. Some college students work full time, some part time, others not at all. I have around $3000 and Im still a struggling college student.

I suppose it depends on which school you’re going to. Most people at my school have had our parents save up about a hundred thousand, but it’s a private university that totals 160G over the four years, so it’s more about where you plan on going. I know some kids who went to the public university and they never saved a penny just got scholarships and grants.
