I told you so asked: It’s an insane amount, I’m sure.
If people had so much money to donate, why didn’t they donate it to a charity?
How many children could have been fed, clothed, and sheltered with all that money the perspective candidates have had donated to them?
It just seems unethical to me.

I was wondering how much money is required to go through customs when traveling to Canada from the US? My boyfriend is coming to stay all of July and maybe a week in August this summer, but isn’t going to have alot of money when he comes. Would they deny him entry to Canada if he didn’t have enough, even though I’d be supporting him? Thanks for your answers everyone.

Ok, I know that my question is a confusing one, but why does gold have to be considered money? Why can’t we use something more abundant for money so that everyone can be well off?

I wanted to take money off my credit card, but somehow as a purchase (not as a cash advance). I was thinking about using Paypal to send money to myself, but they charge 2.9% for incoming payments. Another idea was to purchase a money order (which I can deposit at my bank) at a store and pay by credit, but most stores only accept cash or debit for this. Any ideas?

I’m 22 years old, and wanting to purchase a house in the next year or two. I have money in savings right now which is making terribly low interest. What would be my best move? I’d like to invest the money short term, but I’d like to make a good amount of money doing so. Is that possible and how? CD’s and Money Market accounts just aren’t gonna give me the results I want.

I live in the US, California. My parents who live overseas want to give me some money as gift. Wondering how much I can receive without paying income tax. Also, when the money is transfered to my account do I need to fill out any form and submit to IRS?

Obviously you pay off a credit card bill with a check or using bill pay through your bank. I have a credit card account through Wells Fargo, and I notice that when I choose to transfer money from my checking account to one of my other Wells Fargo accounts, I can transfer it to my savings as well as my credit card account. What happens when I transfer money to my credit card account? I did not know you can do such a thing. Is that for stashing cash away so I have money come bill paying time?
